This brief, produced pursuant to a contract between the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation (ASPE) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and ICF, identifies lessons learned and key considerations from a range of methods for engaging individuals with lived experience to improve federal research, policy, and practice. The findings are based on a comprehensive environmental scan, key informant discussions, and consultations with lived experience experts.
